Heritage & Pride
CHEKHOK is a traditional handwoven bamboo basket of the Tiprasa community of Tripura. For generations, it has been used to filter natural ash water for preparing CHAKHWI, a cherished traditional dish. Crafted with indigenous knowledge, its unique weave allows only the clear ash water to pass through. Though its original use has declined with modern alternatives, CHEKHOK remains a symbol of Tripura's rich cultural heritage. Today, it can be beautifully repurposed as a wall planter, storage organizer, flower holder, magazine holder, and home décor item—preserving tradition while embracing modern living. Preserving Heritage • Supporting Artisans • Sustainable Living
Every item is meticulously handcrafted by skilled indigenous artisans using traditional techniques passed down through generations.
